As part of National Science Week, Circle Harvest is thrilled to invite you to our super cool Virtual Future Food Workshop – designed especially for home school students like YOU! This event is suitable for all ages.

What's Buzzing?

Have you ever wondered what people might eat in the future? Well, wonder no more because we're diving into the exciting world of edible insects! That's right – crickets, mealworms, and other bugs are not just for the backyard anymore. They could be on your plate, and trust us, they're delicious!

What's Happening?

🍽️ Learn About Future Foods: Including algae & seaweed, cellular agriculture, water technologies and plants.

🦗 Introduction to Insect Protein: We'll kick things off with an awesome introduction to the world of edible insects. Learn why these little critters are becoming the superheroes of the food world. They're packed with protein, good for the environment, and can be super tasty!

🍽️ Tasting Adventure: If you're up for it, you can purchase an optional edible insect tasting pack before the event. During the workshop, we'll guide you through a fun and fearless tasting session. Crunchy crickets, savoury mealworms – you'll get to try them all!

🔬 Science Fun: This is National Science Week, after all! We'll explore the science behind why eating insects is so cool and how it can help save our planet. You'll discover how insects are farmed, what makes them so nutritious, and why they're the food of the future.

You'll need access to a computer or tablet with an internet connection to join in. We will be using Zoom as our online platform.
